I have not been a huge fan of “smart watches” until recently. You have to charge them often, they constantly bombard you with information crazing attention. All your texts, emails, and notifications all appear on your wrist. All negatives for me.
As time as went on I have begun to embrace the Apple Watch more. It allows me to leave my phone at times and avoid the constant pull of social media. I can still contact people when needed, I can make purchases and shy of running my business I can do a lot on this little guy.
The other day I stepped on the scale. It was not pretty. The last two years have taken a toll on my body and my mind. If you are reading this in the future, this current year is 2022 and we are two years into a pandemic. It has completely destroyed lives. Fortunately we have come out of this fairly unscathed except my body has added a few pounds and my mind is in constant go, go, go mode.
I took the plunge and upgraded our Apple subscription to include Fitness+ and started a few workouts. My legs are sore, my arms are sore but I honestly feel great. After workouts I perform a cooldown and a meditation to help ground me back to reality. My metrics are displayed on the screen and my wrist and the trainers on here are pretty great as well. What’s even better… I get to do all this from the comfort of my home. I don’t have to get ready, I don’t have to drive to the gym and I don’t have to be around people I don’t want to really be around.
As of right now, Apple Watch and Apple Fitness+ get an A+ rating from me. I will be sure to check in as I progress to see if the $10/mo is worth it but so far, it is getting me to be more active and more focused. Win-Win
